[music |The Living End - Astoria Paranoia]

Yeah so I guess chewing me out is the new thing to do. I love how people take shots at me and expect me to not be angry. I'm tired of everyone preaching to me because I am who I am. I'm not going to change that because in somebody else's opinion I'm wrong. Seriously this is all im getting lately. George and Angie got back from Tennessee a couple days ago so they came to see me yesterday. They are totally different. I have no idea why they were acting so weird. They didn't really have anything positive to say to me. As far as im concerned if this is how they are now they can go right back down south! I'm sick of everyone blowing up on me and leaving because I get angry when they rag on me. What do you think will happen? Am I supposed to just let people put me down and pick apart every little thing I do? I'm not going to! Too damn bad! That's all I've got for tonight I guess. I'm gonna go skate. I'm OUT!

[music |The Cure - The Promise]

Went to denny's last night with Shaun, Kyle, Casey, and Heather. It was pretty fun. We lost another kid from the Canada trip. Everyone is too much of a pansy to comit to it I guess. But we'll have fun even with it being just us 3. Even if it does cost more who cares! Today was kinda boring. My sister, Sean, Melissa, and Sean's little brother Logan came over for dinner. Generally I love little kids, but tonight was just chaos. Logan is out of control and he kinda drove me insane. I was like sorry pal not in the mood to pay you any attention. I ordered the parts for my new computer. It's gonna be pretty sweet. I can't wait to put it all together. So yeah I'm gonna be lower on cash after that. I have a massive headache. Dan, George, Leslie, and Angie come back in four days I believe. Joe will be back in a little over a week too or something like that. That oughta be fun. Smalls comes back the 20th and we're gonna chill before I'm off to college. Justin and I are both getting very anxious to move into our dorm speaking of which. That's gonna be killer. So yeah im out...

HOOAH! [Jul. 25th, 2004|11:05 pm]

[music |Guster - Perfect]

500- My alarm clock went off and the day began. I got out of bed, got all cleaned up, and then put on my BDU's. I managed to make it to my car, although I was very tired because I couldn't fall asleep at a decent hour last night! I was now on my way to the Steevens Ave. armory to do some work for the Army. We went to some country music festival at Deering Oaks (I HATE COUNTRY MUSIC) and set up a table for the recruiters. Within about a half hour I was sent to relieve Private Germain from guard duty. I get to the front of the gate and he tells me not to let any cars in. How fun is that going to be? So my duty begins and I begin telling people to turn their cars around because the park is FULL! I got a lot of respect wearing my uniform. I was under the impression that people were going to be very angry and want to kill me, but I guess the fact that I'm in the Army makes them not want me dead ;). While I was standing out there some cute little girl walked up to me with a big smile on her face. She said "Thank you for protecting out world!" and gave me a big hug. I was like wow! And then some other little girl came up and asked if her mom could take a picture of her with the "Real soldier." I let them of course. Little kids are awesome! Guard duty had it's boring parts though. Well it would have been alright if i wasnt on guard for FOURTEEN HOURS! Yeah I stood out there ALL day! Channel 6 was at my mercy! They were like "Can we come though?" I got to make the choice. All of you that watched channel 6 news and saw that festival... yeah that was courtesy of myself. I got pretty thirsty out there in long sleeves and boots standing in the sun all day. Some lady kept buying me bottles of water though. It was very nice. At about 1600 sergeant Campbell came running towards the entrance and shouted my name. He brought me an MRE for lunch. For those of you that don't know what an MRE is... well all you need to know is that they cosist of packaged food that is non perishable and non tasty! I had some chicken stuff or something out of a pouch. I wasn't even hungry so I didn't really care anyway. I should have been hungry since I hadn't had anything to eat all day, but I wasn't for some weird reason. Probably the thought of eating an MRE killed my appetite at an early stage! I ate that up while some traffic director chump told people to go away. After that it was back to work! Some guy came in with a big trailer and needed to back out. He had to go backwards out of that one way entrance and was all angry about it. I was like hey watch this guy. I walked out into the street while TONS of cars were coming. There was a baseball game going at the same time as this stupid event. People had been trying to find parking since 5am, so by now things were insane. Anyway I held my hands up and stopped the whole lines of traffic from moving! It was very cool! Then i was like back out guy. I wish I could wear my uniform more. People are like "Hey that guy is in the Army so do what he says!" When 1700 rolled around I was assigned to a new post. I had to watch the military vehicles and see to it that no kids got on them. If they had gotten hurt it would have been the guard's responsibility. So I left my traffic post to the chump city of portland traffic dude. He ended up leaving early being the excellent worker that he was! At this point the parking lot was insane because nobody could move. A bunch of cars came in after he left. The people from the radio station felt the need to blame someone I guess, and I was close. Some lady comes out yelling at me like im some idiot and im just going to listen to her and take all the fault. At this point I told her that I was assigned to a new post and rattled off my first general order. "I will guard everything within the limits of my post and not leave my post until properly relieved!" SHOT DOWN PSYCHO STUPID RADIO LADY! I WIN! Some psycho girl came up to me and tried to tell me that the military was awful and rattled off her hate towards the troops. "It appears that you don't value your freedom or your life very much!" I said to miss psycho #2. I ignored everything she said after that because it was all so bogus. About 2 hours later sergeant Bowlin relieved me from my post and informed me that we were leaving shortly. We got in the truck and took off after a little bit. We got back to the armory about ten minutes later where we had to unload everything we brought with us. We being myself and private Konopka by the way. She wasn't nearly as tired as I was though, because while I was on guard duty she was sitting behind the recruiting table. Oh well... it happens. So we get all that stuff inside and sergeant Boubel calls. It turns out one of the trucks wouldnt start and they had to bring some special jumper cables back for it. All the sergeants left us privates (Germain, Britt, Tedesco, Konopka, and Babbidge) in sergeant Campbells office waiting for their return. Private Babbidge is the man and decides he's going to play playstation in sergeant Cambpell's office while he waits. He asked if anyone wanted to play. I was like no way man im not gonna be caught playing playstation in the armory! So about a half hour later sergeant Campbell calls and tells us all we can go home. We make a mad dash for the exit and peel out of the armory before anyone changes their minds! I booked it to the 7-11 to get some gatorade and qwench my undying thirst. So now i'm home, and very achy. Fourteen hours of standing on your feet out in the sun wearing a hot uniform is a bit tiring. Not to mention the fact that i had to be security, so that means paying attention for 14 hours in the sun in a hot uniform on my feet! It was well worth it though. The response was very positive for the most part. Everyone would come up to me and say nice things like "Thank you," and "You guys are doing a great job." I would get the occasional old guy wanting to tell me stories about his past military experience, but i just humored them. With 14 hours to burn why not right? Well thats all I've got for you children this evening.

[music |The Crystal Method - Vapor Trail]

So yeah being the smart person that I am I thought it to be a great idea to down a gigantic cup of coffee in the middle of the night. Now it's 3:00am and im wired. Who woulda though huh? Today was a fun day I must say. I woke up pretty late, then called up Charles in charge to make some plans. We ended up going for a bike ride down to the river by a cool rope swing. I enjoyed that thoroughly. The only downside to it was one of his bikes was gimp so we decided to trade off in all fairness. I ended up riding the squeaky bike with warped tires up all the hills because I got shafted. The chain fell off too! I was like wow this is splendid! I found it quite funny though. The bike was an insane workout I must say since I had to pedal ten times as hard! Chucko is the man though so we just laughed it off. Later that night I went to see "I, Robot" with Mary which was fun stuff. She wanted to see "A Cinderella Story," but I was like ummmm NEGATIVE! I got home around 2:00am. Now for the prequel! My thoughts don't seem to come to me in order I guess, but we'll go with it. The night before Dave, Ben, and I skated out in the P-town for a while. We went down by the ferry docks as usual and then hit up the 7-11. You know the drill. So we get some gatorade and Ben grabs some Ho-Ho's and proceeds to eat them as he's running down the streets of Portland. I guess he was trying to burn them off as he was eating them or something. Actually it was more like him wanting to keep up with us on our skateboards as he diminished his hunger. Either way he now has a new nickname. Ho-Ho Chiasson! That's what they call him (they being Dave and I). So we were chilling out and Drewsykins calls me and we meet up at the Nickelodeon since it's her last night in town for a while. She's in Texas (california) for a few weeks now. So we hung out with Jess, Drew, and Nikki for a bit. Drew hit me with a high heel! I guess it was on accident so that makes it ok or something to that extent. Somewhere in the midst of all this chaos Brian text messaged me to let me know he was skateboarding on dead presidents. I was amused. And now i'm done.

[music |Radiohead- How to Disappear Completely]

So here I am home and bored out of my skull. First and foremost I would like to thank all my "friends" for including me in their plans. Yeah... funny. If you're gonna call yourself my friend then why don't you act like a friend? I'm tired of feeling like a nuisance to everyone. What's the deal? Whatever. So yeah I went over to Tim's and hung out with him and Mike for a little while today. That was cool. Thanks actual friends. Angie, Leslie, Dan, George, and Smalls come back at the beginning of next month so that ought to be fun. I miss hanging out with them a lot. When I was enlisting I decided to tell some people I was leaving for boot camp a week later to see how they would react. Angie cried and I kinda felt like a jerk. Then she was mad at me for a half hour or so. George just wished me luck and wanted to know when I would be back so we could "skate it up." Dan is weird. When I finally got him to believe me he was just kinda like man that SUCKS I don't want you to leave so soon and stuff like that. Then he's like hey can I borrow your stuff? I was like SCUM. He was just joking though. There were other reactions, but those were the ones that stuck out I guess. Yeah I miss those cats a lot. I can't wait to leave for college now. I'm sick of being around here. I need to meet some new people! Only one month left though so I'll live. I might end up going to the movies with Jill tonight which would be very cool. I havent seen that girl forever! She made plans ahead of time though but she's gonna try to come anyway. It probably wont happen but whatever. Yeah I guess i'm done writing for tonight. I'm not quite as annoyed as I was when I started. That's all I've got for tonight...

Lots-o-fun [Jul. 19th, 2004|10:20 pm]

[music |Björk's Vespertine]

Well it's been quite an eventful past couple of days I must say. I have enjoyed it thoroughly. Yesterday Dave, Nate, and I decided to have a night skating session in portland and all crash at Nate's after. It was pretty early and we were getting anxious so we ended up going out early so Dave could buy Kelsey a cactus for her birthday. He bought the cactus and put it RIGHT in the armrest of my car so we kept hitting it and screaming. It was funny, but I must admit it hurt like a motha! We went to Bull Moose for a little bit and I picked up a cool bracelet and stuff. When we left Bull Moose it was beautiful outside. It was misty and cool outside, which is my favorite skateboarding weather. We went to the skate park for a while and then decided to head down by the ferry docks to try some stuff. The ride there was excellent. Cruising down the streets of downtown Portland on a beautiful evening. I found it very relaxing until Nate would fall and i would have to jump off my board to avoid his! It gave us something to laugh about so it's all good. So we got down there and I just worked on my heelflips for a bit. I'm trying to lang them off that staircase ;). We stayed there till dave took a crazy fall and we were all getting a little tired. We hit up a flat ground spot that was very smooth. I just coasted around and tried a few tricks, but it was gorgeous outside. The lights were gleaming through the fog and the ocean smelled really nice. It was great fun. We headed to McDonalds for a while after this because Nate and Dave wanted to get some food. Of course we had to be idiots and piss off a couple of g-thug kids who were gonna bust a cap or somethin. I was all like "Hey Nate ask that guy what the score is." He did and the kid got very angry for no reason at all. I guess people can be really cool like that. While this is going on Dave gets out of the car to see if some guy is taking a leak on a ched behind the place. Dave was on the phone with Kelsey the whole time too. He would get all smooth and sweet talking and the cactus would be like DENIED because he kept hitting his arm on it and yelling. We left right after all that stuff so we didnt get into a fight with the g-unit. We headed back to Nate's and just goofed off for a while then watched "Equilibrium" (which is a pretty cool movie by the way) till 2am and then went to sleep. We woke up at about 11 and realized that Nate is dumb and eats honey grahm life. That is NOT the way Mikey would have wanted his life cereal to be! Honey grahm Life cereal is for whimps and communists! So I was like ok guys we're going to Hannaford to get the real stuff, and we did. So we went back, ate real life, and then Dave was like guys let's go skate up the middle school. We were all pretty dead by then from the night before so we tried a few things and called it quits pretty early on. After that it was back to Dave's where we watched "Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey" (a MUST see). I headed home after that and had dinner at my house. Later on Ben and I went to the mall and played a couple games of DDR. It was great fun. Then we hit up Bull Moose where i got a sweet Sublime shirt for $7.00. It was the man! It was back home after that, and here I am. Thanks guys that was an awesome time. So yeah i guess that's about it. Oh and by the way I love to write as if you havent noticed from this insanely long entry. It's all good. Buy the new Atreyu cd too cuz it's the man. Later kids.

[music |The Smashing Pumpkins- Glass and the Ghost Children]

Yeah so I sold out and made a live journal. It happens. I had a pretty boring day overall, but it wasn't so bad. I was out late last night over to Charlie's rocking out which was a blast. We did some improv and came up with some excellent stuff. And then this morning I woke up early and painted all day. My parents were kinda blad and making it miserable around here as usual so I got on Maddox's site and read some stuff for a while. Man ALL that guy does is complain! It's funny most of the time although I don't agree with him all the time. Reading that stuff made me think about how insanely easily influenced people are. This is especially true in politics! Liberals believe everything they hear against George Bush and conservatives take Rush Limbaugh's advice on everything. My Mom is a democrat and my Dad is a republican. They argue a lot and I just laugh. I think it's important to keep a clear mind about things and not be swayed by the media especially when it comes to politics. I generally hold conservative views but I don't really like to put a label on myself. I also am proud to say that I don't always agree with Rush :). Enough about politics though. Overall not a bad day. Until next time kiddies! Gotta Bizzounce.
